So talking to co-worker TM and we were joking about this house, on a truck. At the corner of State Rd and Michigan Ave there is a house that is being moved. You can see where it was- foundation still there- but it's a rather sizable house. We're not talking about a manufactured house or anything, this is a house house. TM thought it would be a great idea for me to hotwire the truck- have home will travel! See that way I would have a house, all we would have to do is re-side it, and since it's on a truck bed already we could just park it in parking lots over night- no need for property! I think it's a great idea. :) New definition of mobile home.
TM is fun and very generous, I'm really going to miss her when I move. She brought in some framed pictures for me to decorate the new apartment with, and some rather nice fake flowers with a tea kettle like thing to put them in. Plus she also brought in this really cool wallpaper that can be cut up and framed. The wallpaper is designs from old posters and signs- stuff from like the 20s and 30s. Very cool. Plus the wallpaper (to be cut up and framed, she's bringing me frames tomorrow), tea kettle and pictures (already framed) match the color of the dishes the Beau and I have. (TM's mom used to do the antique fair circuit and has a huge collection of stuff. TM is allowed to go through her mom's collection taking what she wants. This would be where she's getting all this nifty stuff to help me decorate.)
Though I do have a question, wouldn't you think that if you were to be renting a home that you would know who owned the property? One of my tasks here at the mortgage co is to request occupancy inspections. If the person who lives at a property is renting they're asked who owns it. I get a ton of these reports back that claim the occupant only knows the first name of the owner. If that's true- how do they pay rent?
My headache is giving me the impression that it's on its way out... now to convince it to hurry along. :)
