It's... It's... It's a JadeCat!!

Okay, so just kidding folks. I promised someone a nice long entry on what the JadeCat (otherwise known as Anne) has been doing.
Working. No, really, that's pretty much all the girl has been doing, when she's not hanging around with the beau, or being horribly mundane and doing things like laundry and bathing the cat. Yanno, the worst part about bathing her Sashaness is not the actual water part- it's the drying and combing afterwards, that's when I get the war wounds.
In other news, the beau and I have been talking (no really, we talk, with words and everything!) and it has been decided that this whole living an hour+ away from each other just isn't working anymore. The only thing we can do then is move in together right? Right. Well, the beau is in school, working on getting into a nursing program so that he can get his RN. This means he has to stay in Lansing. So yes, follow along, this means that Anne will be finding a job in Lansing and moving up there.
It's both easier and harder than it sounds. Easier because finally I'll get to see him everyday (although, he works midnights, which means I'll see him for an evening, he'll go to work and I'll go to bed... I'll get up for work and will probably be gone by the time he's getting home. So it'll almost be like we're still dating, sorta). Finally we can start making other plans, for other things in the future. Not to mention the money we will save in gas alone.
But also harder because Ann Arbor has been my home since, well, aside from 9 months in Saginaw in 1997, since 1993 when I moved here to attend U of M. I have friends here, and some very fond memories. Okay, so it's not like I'm going to the other side of the world or anything, and visiting will obviously be very easy. It's just not quite the same.
Oooh, and very happy.. Beau and I went shopping over the weekend- I got TOOLS!! I've been wanting a simple household tool set (nothing overly fancy) for quite some time. The most useful high school graduation present that I got was a small tool set, over the years bits and pieces fell by the wayside the move before this last one saw the case go away- I think my former roommate still has it. But the beau saw an ad in the paper for a 45 piece tool kit (on sale at Home Despot... er Depot) and he bought it for me! And it came with a Tote Bag!!! (I love tote bags, really really do. Though I don't use the majority of the ones that I have)
The second cool purchase over the weekend was a scroll frame for cross-stitch purposes. I really like, although I do need to get a lap stand. The frame itself is wonderful, but can also be a bit awkward. So, I've told beau that I want it for Christmas of my birthday (since they're so close either works).
Lessee, also had fun playing with the Bits puppy. Although, he's a tad rambunctious, and is still under the opinion that cats are for chasing. The humans around him have tried to convince him otherwise, but he doesn't beleive them. The Kamikaze cat has tried to convince him, but even with her hanging off his nose, he still thinks they're playing. Ah well, I figure keep trying and hope that he settles down a bit as he gets older (he's barely over a year- I think). If he keeps trying to chase cats this may be a big issue when it comes down to whether or not he and Sasha can be in the same house (she'll be 7 next week she has seniority. ;) ) If the beau and I don't take him when we get a place, his current people will most happily keep him. J. got quite indignant when the beau implied that she would give him up to just *anyone*.
Well, being mundane tonight and must go play with laundry. People at work are so picky about it when you come in wrinkly and smelling funky. ;) I'll be back, I promise!
