Manic Monday it's not...
Mar. 8th, 2004 01:55 pmSo actually woke up around when I wanted to this morning- feeling like crap because of my cold aside. Although for some reason the light from my alarm clock was waaaay too bright last night. Had to turn it around so I couldn't even read the time. Heh.
In work news, well, I'm silly. See, we have these cabinets in the back where we store incoming files. Co-worker Teresa and I sort through the files every morming when they arrive and then put them in the back. Usually the organization of these files is left up to me. Now this isn't because Ms. Teresa is a slacker, or no, this is all because I'm terribly picky about how the files get organized. They have little stickies with the date on them that have to be just so. Yes, I'm that picky about it. However, Friday when I went through and COMPLETELY rearranged the files my big boss Pat said that it looked really nice. Then today co-worker Nichol said that it looked really nice and that she appreciated my effort in the filing. I'm thrilled. How geeky is that?
So what else? Not too much, I just ahve about another minute before I'm supposed to punch back in for work. Spent most of my time today simply reading friends' lj's and didn't leave myself much time to write. However, given this lovely seven minute rule that we have going on here, if I punch out for lunch at 12:54 then I don't have to punch in until 1:07. See, seven minutes before or after the hour (well, hour, quarter or half hour) count as that time. (Did that make any sense?) So I technically have until 2:07. Neat.[
Hmm, this past weekend was just wonderful. Friday I had my meeting (still need to post the minutes on the bbs) and then I headed up to Okemos to see the beau. Watched SG-1- the newest one and the one that saw the return of a newly descended Daniel Jackson. Saturday morning woke up just not feeling well. The terrible cold that had captured Teresa earlier in the week finally caught up with me. This was annoying enough, however there was AD&D to be played that day! The beau and I went out to breakfast, then he dropped me off at his place to get some more sleep while he procured soda for the gamers, fruit, and meds for me. :) After napping for two hours I was pretty much 'good to go' when we started gaming. Though that whole thing was pretty chaotic.
Then it was Sunday. Was supposed to go to Zimmer Sunday morning, and then back in the afternoon for the quarterly volunteer meeting. Didn't make either. Felt too crappy in the morning (and I already e-mailed that I wouldn't be there) and then the weather was so messed up that I didn't bother to try to leave until later in the afternoon.
Last night was fun though. Watched Lara Croft- The Cradle Of Life with the roomies
mightyafrodite and DK. Okay, it's not great film *insert British accent* but it is a fun movie. And just spending time with the 'family' is good.
Well, gotta go back to work now.
