To reiterate point #5 from yesterday. While sitting in my *living room* last night- I got two mosquito bites on my ankle.

In other news... spent much of last evening in a dentist's office. Hubby had a pain last week or so, and I bugged him to go to the dentist. Did he? Of course not! Last night when I got home he was doing this thing where he was holding a little bit of water in his mouth- covering the sore area. Apparently that was the only way to keep it from hurting. As soon as he emptied mouth of water the pain would start again.

Being considerate and sweet- I badgered him into calling his insurance in an attempt to get some emergency treatment. He did call his dentist yesterday- but no one answered, or returned his call (he did leave a message). Eventually we were able to get him to a dentist- that luckily has late hours on Tuesday. His insurance gave him an emergency release number so that even though we paid out of pocket they will reimburse us.

Problem- an exposed nerve. Treatment calls for a root canal. Since it was so late last night he was given penicillin for infection and Tylenol-3s for pain. Luckily we got to the pharmacy a few minutes before they closed - so they did fill the prescriptions. It was still a bit of a long night as the pain pills didn't really help at first. He slept in his chair overnight (recliner thingie) and this morning said it didn't really hurt. Though I think he snuck in an extra Tylenol-3 as he said he felt a bit dopey. That and something about putting oragel on a cotton ball and stuffing it against the sore tooth.

Due to the tooth pain of last night, and the fact that it wasn't likely to end this morning (so we thought last night), DH had to e-mail his professors and let them know he wasn't going to be in class this morning. Did I mention that his class started yesterday? Poor guy. 'Course, if he'd gone to the dentist *last* week like I suggested...

Anyway, this has all led to a sleepy cat. Caffeine seems to be insufficient for my needs. The only plus to this situation is that I now have a line on a good dentist whose office is just down the road from where I work. She has late Tuesday hours and some Saturday hours! Is very cool.

This morning had a fairly bizarre dream, in which I wasn't married- but was still dating the hubby. Apparently I was also dating someone I dated years ago. We actually dated for a couple months when I was 21 and then again for a couple months when I was 24ish. He's a great guy, at the time I thought him very pretty (blonde hair, killer blue eyes)- just not too bright. I knew going in that nothing serious would ever come of it, so I didn't have any expectations in that direction. He was fun to date.

Anyway, the house I lived in (I had roommates but I'm not sure who they were) had all these rooms, and varying ways to get from one place to another. At one point I was with hubby and then left him in one room because the other guy was somewhere else... I don't really get that part. Ended up talking to former housemate BE about something, I think related to soda, but I really can't remember what it was.

Then I ended up going to a party with friend JL (who I haven't spoken to in far too long). Except that to get to this party, which wasn't at our house, I walked through a couple rooms with him and we were there. (on a side note, all the walls in the house had wood paneling, I don't remember much paint or wallpaper or anything, and this is fairly consistent with houses in my dreams.) While at the party I ran into former roomie, and JL's former gf, VS. So I stopped to talk to VS about another of our former roomies, wondering if she'd heard from her.

There was more going on at the party, and I remember seeing more people I knew, or that I thought I knew. As in there were a couple LJ people that I've never met in person, but they were at the party and I knew who they were without an introduction.

Then there were group pictures (and this is where it gets all egocentric. ;) ) and I thought we were done - but no. So I flipped my hair down (it was loose, which is almost never is) and gave it a quick brushing before flipping it up again. Apparently my hair was awe-inducing. ;) A couple people were admiring, and my step-daughter even grinned all smugly to someone new and said "See, this is why I hang out with her." (blink, blink, wha?)

This led to a picture being taken, apparently with my heeled boots I was tall enough to stand in the back row. And then there was further discussion of my hair, and a voice over explained how if you looked you could see me and my hair in all sorts of strange places- paintings and so on. So there followed a montage of pictures of various works of art that had the small section that I was in highlighted. In one I noted that I was wearing my favorite green sweater (the one I have on in this icon, oh and for the record, hair is longer now, and not quite so blond.) and and part of my face was covered with hair. Then there was a stained glass window with the same look. However, both of these were dated in the 50s and 60s (or possibly earlier, my mind couldn't decide) and I was confused as I wasn't alive at that point.

Then the dream switched back to the party, my 15 minutes being over, and we ended up going outside. I think I remember something about trying to find my car? Oh yeah, I was trying to parallel park someone's car, I think it was a Mini Cooper, and thus I'm pretty sure it wasn't mine. ;) In any case, it was a fairly small car, but apparently had a crap turn radius.

And that's pretty much all of it that I remember.
