Well that makes sense. With cats the thing tends to be worry about male cats spraying- and they will. That smell, I've heard, it damned near immpossible to get out. I've been lucky and haven't experienced it for myself.

My former housemates have a purebred GSD they were hoping to breed so he's entact. And yes, other male dogs have taken violent exception to him. I don't know how many times he's gotten attacked- and he's one of the mellowest dogs I know. He doesn't want to fight at all - but other dogs apparently think they have something to prove. What was actually kind of funny was watching a full grown pug try to go for Max's throat. The pug's mouth was just too small to get through Max's ruff!

My main concern with spaying/neutering is over population. I knew you weren't one of those 'oh, they should mate once for the experience before they get spayed/neutered' morons. Those are the ones that annoy me. You're waiting to improve the puppy- not make more. ;)
