Hey, we get snow too?

Michigan mostly escaped the earlier Snowpocalypse, but did get snow yesterday, into this morning. I heard figures of about 8-10" fell around here. Add in shifting wind, and it gets tricky to measure. I took the hubby's car to work this morning- not because I didn't think the MINI could make it but because I was afraid of the other drivers. Many Michigan drivers have figured out how to drive safely in snow. Not all however, and living vaguely close to a major university means that there are many non-Michigan drivers, who have no clue about driving on partially snow covered roads.

I must applaud the plowing that was done. The folks really did a good job on the main roads. Plus now that the sun is out(!) the snow is melting a bit.

In general, I would like whoever it was that ticked Heikki Lunta off so badly that he's throwing a fit all over the Eastern US- to fess up and make their apologies. So we can get on with marching towards Spring. I like Spring. Spring is good. I'm looking forward to its arrival. But first, I think Heikki Lunta needs appeasing.
